Form Builders Ltd were appointed by Dawson Wam Ltd to undertake the full formwork , steel fixing and concrete package on the new 20,000 tonne capacity 6 bay grain store within an active port. The retaining walls were constructed of reinforced concrete to a height of 7.5meters from the finished floor level. The reinforced concrete walls and floors consumed in excess of 400tonnes of steel reinforcement and 4000m3 of concrete. The numerous floor pours required extensive planning and liaison with the Harbour operations on a daily basis to maintain access to the adjacent existing stores and co-ordinate the works.
